Apollo Bunded

Based on the successful Apollo Oil Level monitor, for single skin tanks, this combined oil level monitor and bund alarm offers improved security against oil spills. The Apollo Bund operates by continually monitoring any contaminants of oil/liquid in the bund either as a result of inner tank malfunction or overfilling of the inner tank.

The Apollo Bund consists of a plug-in receiver, transmitter with cable and float switch. When the transmitter is installed on the tank, the float switch must be suspended vertically between the inner tank and the bund wall and be positioned a mininum of 100mm from the base of the bund. Any excess cable (depending on tank height) may be tied off to allow proper installation.

The Apollo Bund continually monitors the oil level in the tank as normal. In the event of oil/liquid in the bund, the householders receiver plug gives a visual warning by flash pulsing of bars and a flashing red light and prompts them into action. Once the fault has been rectified the Apollo Bund returns to normal operation of monitoring the bund and the level of oil in the tank.

The Apollo transmitter fits into a 20mm/32mm diameter hole on the top of the tank, or by using the plastic adaptor (optional) fits a standard 38mm (1.5") gauge socket normally found in steel tanks. Suitable for use in tanks for the storage of diesel fuel, kerosene, and gas oil, Types A2, C1, C2, and D as defined by BS 2869. The Apollo meets EC and EMC regulations.
