Apollo Underground

The Apollo Underground Unit has been specially designed for use on underground tanks. Much like the Apollo Standard, the Underground Unit uses a transmitter and a receiver, but in this instance, the transmitter / sensor attached to the underground tank is hard wired to another overground / surface transmitter. The reason for this is that wireless signals do not work below ground level, see our installation recommendations.

This surface transmitter sends an FM signal to the receiver. The Apollo Underground comes with a 2" adaptor for easy connection to your tank. The Apollo Underground is super-reliable and is far and above the best product of its kind on the market.

The main features of Apollo Underground are its unparalleled high quality FM system. The unit contains a long life lithium battery and is universally usable on all tanks up to 3 metres in height. The unit can even continue transmitting at a distance of 200 metres.

The Apollo transmitter fits into a 20mm/32mm diameter hole on the top of the tank, or by using the plastic adaptor (optional) fits a standard 38mm (1.5") gauge socket normally found in steel tanks or the 2" adaptor supplied. Suitable for use in tanks for the storage of diesel fuel, kerosene, and gas oil, Types A2, C1, C2, and D as defined by BS 2869. The Apollo meets EC and EMC regulations.
